This model succeeds the first group of 21-foot carrier collectibles, released in October of 2008. The models, which will feature an MSRP of $110US, will be available in five unique decorations and limited in quantity to a total of 2,000 units.
“Based upon the excitement created from the first set of Steel Shark models produced, Jerr-Dan and TWH Collectibles mutually agreed that producing a second set of models in more colors would be a terrific idea,” said John Moore, Program Manager of TWH Collectibles. “The detail and accuracy are second to none in these limited edition models, and we are proud to have met and exceeded Jerr-Dan’s expectations in the quality of model they deserve.”
Functions and features of the Steel Shark carrier include intricate details such as a pivoting and sliding carrier deck; a functional wheel lift and winch; detailed hydraulic controls; steerable front wheels; opening cab doors; a realistic light bar mast with emergency safety lighting; an opening chrome toolbox; a photo-etched catwalk; a frame-mounted wet kit; and an extremely accurate decal package.
The Peterbilt 335 chassis features: a frame-mounted fuel tank with a step under the passenger door; an opening hood that reveals a detailed diesel engine; realistic exhaust, gas and air tanks; multi-material door mirrors; a driver’s side battery box; a grill, muffler stack, front bumper and wheels all made of chrome; rubber mud flaps and tires; realistic air, hydraulic, and electrical hose and wire placement; and an extremely accurate decal package.
“We look forward to a continued brand-building relationship with Jerr-Dan,” said Cortney Krueger, Marketing Communications Manager with TWH Collectibles. “It is a privilege to work together in creating museum class sales tools to enhance dealer, supplier and customer relationships.”
