January 5, 2009
Manitowoc, Wisconsin, USA — TWH Collectibles announced today that the 1:50 scale model of the Kern
County Pierce® Quantum® Pumper has been awarded the 2008 Fire Apparatus Model of the Year, by Fire
Engines.net, a world-renown die cast model forum and review website. TWH Collectibles’ debut model in
the fire and rescue genre captured 35% of the vote from collectors from all over the world.
“On behalf of model fire apparatus collectors, it is indeed a pleasure to present the “Readers’ Choice
Award” to TWH Collectibles. It is important to note, this is the first year TWH Collectibles, along with its
OEM partner, Pierce Manufacturing, has marketed a model fire apparatus. Considering the detail of these
models, I can’t wait to see what they have to offer in 2009!” said Larry Lorance, founder of
www.fireengines.net.
